We are no greenhorns anymore for quite a long time, but the colour green still plays an important role, for we care for our carbon footprint and manufacture sustainable products … and not just since yesterday.
We certainly are not perfect in that and not all materials, components and processes can currently be replaced by climate neutral solutions, but we are working on it – for you, for us and for our climate.
We are so digital, that we don’t even file a paper
Already since 2007 we are using an electronic filing system to reduce paper consumption to a minimum.
Reflectors with Jordan ULTRA technology enable energy savings of up to 20% compared to conventional, spun reflectors
We make your light more energy efficent
In 2008 we started our initiative for efficiency in the area of office lighting by developing sophisticated aluminium louvres with high efficient cross blade systems which led to an increased efficacy (LOR) and energy savings of up to 25% compared to conventional systems.
Only one year later series production of the predecessor of our current ULTRA reflector was launched, which is especially dedicated to shop and retail lighting but also other lighting projects using track lights and provides an increase in efficacy with up to 20% more reflected light = energy savings.
Since 2016 all reflector based OEM standard luminaires made by Jordan are exclusively equipped with reflectors in ULTRA technology and the most efficient electronical components only.

Our production lives on wind and water
Through the use of climate neutrally produced energy from wind and hydropower we relieve the ecosystem of 1.557.015kg CO2 within 2 years.
We save resources
Jordan ULTRA reflectors are not only more efficient, but also have a significantly lower weight than conventional, spun round reflectors. They are produced from climate neutrally manufactured aluminium and are at 100% recyclable.
Unlike plastic reflectors aluminium reflectors are no „throwaway products“, for they do not yellow, do not show any ageing marks and do not get problems with the heat generated in your luminaire.
2020 we optimised the standard packaging of our OEM luminaires regarding size and weight and the use of plastic filler is avoided if possible.
of our customers come from Germany or other European countries
We don’t take every supplier
When selecting a supplier we do not only make a point of proven carbon neutrality as e.g. for the aluminium, the energy used or the packaging materials, but also pay attention to source as locally as possible to have a low ecological footprint in terms of transportation.
We think local and are Europeans by conviction
We do not only focus on local suppliers in sourcing, we also intentionally strengthen our German and European locations – after all, 99% of our customers are from Germany or other European countries.
Short transportation distances ensure significantly less CO2 emissions in logistics compared to products made in Asia.
We meet and travel greener
2019 our Sales started the project to carry out meetings and business trips as climate friendly as possible, i.e. by using video conference systems and preferring travelling by train and public transport wherever conditions allow.
